I swam out to Drum Island on a nice hot summer's day
I went out to Drum Island 'cause I kinda liked its name.
I thought that there'd be pirate treasure or maybe an army base
but all I saw were piles of mud and sticks all over the place.

because everything they dredge up from the bottom of the Cooper River ends up on Drum Island.
